What would you recommend to people who are thinking of moving to Armenia?
Get ready for daily adventures and small miracles in every corner of the country. It’s worth the move, especially if you’re of Armenian descent, the land calls you.
What are some things that in your opinion people do not realize about Armenia?
It is a major tech and IT hub in the Caucasus and Near East region and is known for housing the first-ever winery from over 6,000 years ago. The country has breathtaking churches and monasteries and is known for being the first nation to adopt Christianity as its official religion. Armenia also has very fertile soil, yielding the freshest and most delicious fruits and vegetables all year round.
What has been the hardest part about moving to Armenia?
Getting used to walking around so much. Being from LA, it’s a car-based city where everyone drives, so it’s been tough adjusting to a new lifestyle (although, quite beneficial for my body). Another tough adjustment has been adopting new ways of working and work cultures.
What is your favorite memory of living in Armenia?
There’s so many, but I’d say the most incredible memory would be spending my 27th birthday in Armenia and being surrounded by friends and families, who shower me with love and joy everyday.
Any places / activities you would recommend to people planning on visiting Armenia?
Yes! Take trips to regions outside the capital city of Yerevan. The regions of Lori and Tavush have exquisite beauty and nature unlike any other. You can “glamp” (not camp) in Lori under the stars, or zipline in Dilijan, light candles and pray in centuries-old churches, eat wholesome, delicious food everywhere, and so much more.
